How to Downgrade Your Audible Subscription
Learn how to downgrade from Premium Plus to Premium without losing credits or access to benefits you value.
Downgrading your Audible subscription is possible and won't cost you your credits or audiobooks. Here's what to expect and how to do it properly.
What You Lose When Downgrading
- Premium Plus to Premium: You lose the extra credit (if on 2-credit plan), 35% discount drops to 30%, and some benefits may change
- You keep: All audiobooks purchased, Plus Catalog access continues until the next billing cycle, credits you already have remain valid
Downgrade Steps
- Go to Account Details → Your Membership
- Select Change Plan or Downgrade
- Select your new plan (Premium or Premium Plus 1)
- Confirm the change - effective at next billing cycle
Before You Downgrade
If you're on Premium Plus 2 and want to downgrade, first ensure you've used or saved any rolled-over credits. You won't get a second credit in the next billing cycle after downgrading.
Your current credits remain valid and can be used until their expiration date (12 months from issue).
